[Back] 1. Do I have to be an Emerald member to purchase music on your site? Absolutely not. You purchase nearly all of our 164,000 titles without being an Emerald member. However, when you become an Emerald member you can download and/or print unlimited copies of files from our public domain library. (over 10,000 files available and growing) plus all Emerald members receive a 20% discount on any licensed Scorch file and any music books for traditional delivery to the school or home. [Back] 2. What happens when I pay my $9.95 for the monthly Emerald membership? As soon as you sign-up for the monthly Emerald membership, you are set as an Emerald member. You will then get immediate access to all the 10,000+ files where you can download and or print unlimited copies and you will get immediate discounts on any licensed Scorch file and music books. [Back] 3. You say I also get a free Scorch print from your licensed library - what do you mean? As a sign of appreciation for being a monthly Emerald member, we give you 1 free print credit from our library of legally licensed Scorch files for every month you are a member. It is very easy to use the free print credit. You can print any song like Linus and Lucy, or something from Elton John like Your Song or maybe something from Broadway like Seasons of Love. When your free print credit is set, which happens automatically as soon as a monthly payment is made, you simply open the song you want to print and you will see a "Use Free Print Credit" button at the top of the music. Click on that button and we will automatically set the file for you to print right away. (see an example here) [Back] 4. Do I have to use my free Scorch print right away? No - you can use it any time. If you are a member for 3 months, then you will have 3 free scorch print credits available and they will be available to you until you decide to use them - even if it is months down the road! 5. I am a music teacher. If I sign up for a monthly Emerald membership, you say that my students can also get an Emerald membership for free. How does that work? Once you sign up for a monthly Emerald membership as a teacher, we generate your very own personal student registration key. This key will be a series of numbers and you will be able to get access to it once you are logged in to our site. Any or all of your students can then get a free Emerald membership by clicking on the I Have a Registration Key button at the top right of all of our pages on the site. They then enter their information along with your key, and they will be immediately set as a Monthly Student Emerald member and will have access to all the benefits of being an Emerald member. 6. How will I know if any of my students have registered for the free Emerald membership? Once a student has registered for a free Emerald membership, you will see their name in your student list record. Your student list record is in your main student administration page at: http://www.sheetmusicdigital.com/StudentList.asp (you must be logged in first) 7. If I don't renew my monthly membership, what happens to my students that have registered? If you don't renew your membership, then any students that have registered for free will also lose the Emerald membership status. Some teachers may decide to let the membership lapse for a couple of months, but then renew again. Once you renew, then any previously registered students are immediately set back to their Emerald status as well. 8. Can my students get their own monthly Emerald membership without using my registration key? Anyone can get their own personal monthly Emerald membership at any time. If you let your membership lapse, then any of your students can get their own personal membership. They will not show up in your student list as they are now set as a monthly Emerald member outside of your account. 9. Do my students receive a free Scorch print as well? If your student has registered using your registration key, then they do not receive a free Scorch print credit. If they decide to get their own personal monthly Emerald membership for $9.95/month, then they will receive a free scorch print credit for each month they are active. Only those who pay for the monthly Emerald membership will receive a free Scorch print credit. 10. I am the principal and am thinking about registering my school for an Emerald membership. Does it really only cost me $9.95 per month for all my teachers and all our students to become Emerald members? Yes - it only costs you $9.95 per month for all of your teachers and students to enjoy the benefits of being a monthly Emerald member. It does not matter how many teachers or how many students are in your school - from 1 teacher with 30 students to 1000 teachers with 30,000 students - the price is still only $9.95 per month. 11. How do I get everyone registered? I don't have time to manually register all my teachers and students! We don't expect you to have to manually register everyone so we have made it as easy as possible by using registration keys.
12. Do my teachers and students have to be at the school to register or use their account? That is one of the most popular feature of the monthly Emerald membership. Your teachers or students can register from school or home (as long as they have a registration key) and they can access all the sheet music, resources and other material from any computer in the world. All they need to do is log in to their account with their email and password and they will have full access! 13. How will I know who has registered as part of our monthly Emerald membership? Because you are the one who has registered the school, you become the head administrator of the account. As the head administrator, you will have an administration page on our site that will allow you to see all the teachers and students that have registered. 14. If I don't renew my monthly School Emerald membership, what happens to my students and teachers that have already registered? If you don't renew your membership, then any students and teachers that have registered for free will also lose the Emerald membership status. You may decide to let the membership lapse for a couple of months, but then renew again. Once you renew, then any previously registered teachers or students are immediately set back to their Emerald status as well. We do not delete the accounts, we just change the membership level, so all the information they have entered or accumulated stays in place. 15. I really don't want to pay monthly, is there a way I can pay this yearly so I can use funds from my school budget? Absolutely, and in fact we give you 2 free months if you pay
for the annual membership. You can pay $99/year for the Emerald membership
and you will receive 12 free scorch prints. This is like getting 12 months
for the price of 10. You can pay directly on line by selecting the annual
membership option when you are checking out, or you can mail or fax a
purchase order to our business at: 16. I am the head of a church and am thinking about registering my church for an Emerald membership. Does it really only cost me $9.95 per month for all my church staff and all our church members to become Emerald members? I have 50 staff and almost 4000 members in our church! Yes - it only costs you $9.95 per month for all of your
church staff and members to enjoy the benefits of being a monthly
Emerald member. It does not matter how many staff members or church members
